ASPIDA - Textile Manufacturing & Laundries

 

ASPIDA is the textile-specific product developed from the Vitec Antimicrobial Chemistry  an advanced, durable and environmentally safe antimicrobial 

 

The inherent properties of textile fibres provide room for growth of micro-organisms like bacteria which is fast growing in warm and damp/wet conditions and cause unpleasant odours and fungi (mould and mildew) which are slow growing and cause staining, loss of performance and skin irritations or infections e.g. athlete’s foot.

 

Infestation by microbes cause cross contamination and develop odour where the fabric is worn next to skin. In addition, staining and loss of performance of the fabric occur. In order to protect the wearer and the fabric itself, an antimicrobial finish is required.

 

Antimicrobial textile products are increasing in popularity as consumer awareness is growing and demand for high-performance fabrics that are kind to skin yet durable and stay fresher for longer, have become a necessity.

 

The Vitec Solution

 

By integrating Aspida into either the manufacturing process or in the rinse cycle of a laundry, all particles of the textile will be protected by a permanent barrier that microbes cannot penetrate. This coating will stay for the normal life of the product, continually protecting the fabric from odour, discolouration, and deterioration.
